The Old Swan Inn announces its second summer beer and cider festival

The Old Swan Inn in Llantwit Major has announced the second in its series of annual summer beer and cider festivals, due to take place on Friday 24th July, through till the evening of Sunday 26th July.

Festivities will commence at lunchtime on Friday 24th with the opening of the first cask, and culminate on the Sunday night. During the festival, food will be served until late with many delicious choices being made available from The Old Swans kitchens, including a selection of exclusive festival dishes

The historic pub will be playing host to a large selection of beers and ciders, celebrating Welsh brewers, including offerings from Otley, Waen, Untapped, Grey Trees, Tiny Rebel, Purple Mousse, Gower, and Vog.

The Old Swan’s manager, Dave Moll, said: “This is our second beer festival of the season, and we can’t wait, our mid-summer festival is always a cracker! We’re expecting a great turnout for this after the success of our first festival back in May.

“As usual we’ve got a wide range of beers and ciders on tap from a range of different Welsh breweries, and from further afield. Let’s hope we get some sun!”

The pub, which dates back to the 12th century, is part of the Knife & Fork Food group, which also includes The Conway in Pontcanna, The Pilot in Penarth and their latest venture, The Discovery, in Cyncoed.
